Dr Geraldine Moore speaks on "The politics of the Victorian Education Act of 1872”, and the impacts of the withdrawal of public funding for Church schools. Five of Geraldine’s great-grandparents were either Irish born or of descent. Her talk includes the different decisions her Irish ancestors made regarding their children's education after the Act was passed.
