South West England Research & Discussion Circle (SWERD)

The South West England Research & Discussion Circle is for GSV members who are researching their family history in the south west counties. Covers Bristol, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire.

Henwood Cornwall
Aim

We are working together to advance our research and gain further understanding of our ancestors’ lives in the south west.

Our monthly SWERD meetings include:
• Presentations by members and guest speakers on topics relating to research and the ‘life and times’ in the south west counties.
• Assisting members breakthrough their research brickwalls
• Review of new websites and other resources available to members in the GSV library and State Library Victoria.
• Reviews of articles in the South-West county family history journals.

SWERD members receive an email copy of the monthly meeting notes and copies of, or access to, the meetings’ presentation materials.

Who may join?

The SWERD circle is open only to GSV Members, as part of their annual subscription. There is no additional fee.
