The Counties of Northern England Discussion Circle is for GSV members who are researching their ancestors who were living at some stage of their lives in the area covered by the counties of Cheshire, Cumberland, Durham, Isle of Man, Lancashire, Northumberland, Westmoreland, and Yorkshire.
The monthly meeting provide the opportunity for members to:
- learn about the resources available that will assist them to research the lives of their ancestors
- listen, and contribute, to presentations by members on topics relating to the social, economic and religious and political history that effected the 'life and times the counties
- assist members breakthrough their research brickwalls
- enjoy the fellowship of members who have a shared interest in the northern English counties.
Who may join?
The Circle is open only to GSV Members as part of their annual subscription. There is no additional fee. Members receive an email copy of the monthly meeting notes and copies of the meetings' materials.
Meetings
Meeting of the circle are conducted monthly from 1.00pm to 2.30pm on the second Tuesday of each month (except January), via Zoom.
